The Italian openEHR Day, the first Italian edition of the event dedicated to the openEHR standard for the collection and management of clinical information, was held in Sardinia on 6 June.

OpenEHR is an international consortium composed by several professionals from the clinical, IT and academic environment, which has been supplying tools for the semantic and computational description of clinical data for more than 15 years.

During the event – organized by the Center for Advanced Studies, Research and Development in Sardina, in cooperation with Sardegna Ricerche, Better by Marand, Inpeco and Dedalus – experts in the field introduced the concepts underpinning the openEHR standards while presenting a series of significant use cases. Even Dedalus took the opportunity to explain its point of view about the semantic approach to the clinical data sharing.
