After last January’s success at IHE USA’s North-American Connectathon in Cleveland, Dedalus Italy and Dedalus France attended IHE Europe’s Connecthaton, which took place in Rennes, France, from 8 to 23 April.

IHE Connecthaton is the largest event concerning interoperability tests for IT systems in eHealth and has now become a must and a key event in the sector. This year, Dedalus validated for X-Value, the Mobile Access to Health Documents (MHD) profile, which permits to access XDS resources through RESTful interfaces; for Kalisil, the Laboratory Testing Workflow (LTW) profile, which consents to preserve the consistency of information concerning orders and patients and to track the sampling procedures; for Halia, the Laboratory Analytical Workflow (LAW) profile, dedicated to the integration between analytical equipment (IVD) and LIS/Middleware by defining the related workflows such as the management of the instruments’ programming and the reception of outcomes.

In addition, Dedalus France took part in the two Projectathons organized by ASIP Santé: the first concerning the exchange of notes using FHIR resources and the second concerning the exchange of secure mails containing CDA R3 for laboratory reports through the implementation of IHE XDM profile.

Dedalus has a long history in attending IHE Connectathons, during which it presented and validated more than 35 integration profiles in the field of Radiology, IT Infrastructure, Laboratory, Cardiology and Pharmacy, and it has always had a strong focus on supporting and defining eHealth standards, at both national and international level. In particular, for what concerns IHE, Dedalus is present and actively involved in the following committees: IHE International (Chicago, USA), IHE Europe (Brussels, Belgium) and IHE Italia (Firenze).
